More Felix - this time coloured! I couldn't leave this one alone for long.

I'll throw some character Trivia down here because I can't think of anything else to say.

The name Felix means ‘Lucky’, a trait the character has in many ways. But luck does have its irony.

Felix’s original name was Felix Richard James Pouler and was changed to Felix Raja Isaacs. Apart from the biblical implications, here’s the deal why. Richard and James are the names of his grandfathers (Father’s and Mother’s side respectively). Pouler was a misspelling of the word Prowler, meaning one who roves about for prey.
Raja replaced Richard and James as Felix’s middle name. The old names, Richard and James are old English kings and the Indian word Raja, means King. Isaacs actually wasn’t inspired by the biblical story, but by an old fantasy story I worked on where the main character, Isaac, was torn into an alternate reality where he fought his tyrannical father to open the portal home.

As a nod to the original idea for Felix having the ability to run abnormally fast, he is a speed demon and loves driving. In the military he was a pilot for a short while because of his love of all things fast. The super speed never made it into Felix’s design.

Felix’s hairstyle used to be a kind of bob-cut. This was botched due to its simplicity and that it didn’t suit the character well. Thus, a towel was taken to his hair and it became what it is now.

Despite it being the future, Felix uses an antique pistol from the 20th century. A German made USP .45 that he got from his Father. The pistol has been in the family for generations and carries a great weight for him. (Originally, Felix’s handgun was a 9mm M9 Berretta. This was because of my fascination with the Resident Evil remake for the Nintendo Gamecube at the time I was originally designing Felix.)

In the early days he always had a tail. Now he doesn’t. Why? Because he was in the military and a relatively useless appendage like that would be removed so that it wouldn’t interfere with the day to day. It also makes him look less poofy.

Felix’s eyes have a glowing quality. (Spoiler!) This is a genetic side-effect from the Titan program. Originally, this was supposed to be because of an immunity to a population destabilization virus used at the beginning of the war (that design element never saw light and was scrapped, yet somehow the glow remained).
